The timber frame wooden house

An undisputed benefit of a wooden house is its short construction time, which ranges between 4 and 10 weeks. Average realization time of an order for the construction of a wooden family house is app. 6 months.

Service interruptions are not necessary and after the construction completion, the area around the construction site does not require extensive cleaning works. You can move into such a house immediately after the end of the finishing works. All the works, except for laying the foundations are dry construction works, thanks to which a wooden house may be built in any season, including winter.

Therefore below we would like to present how Kalenica constructs a house.

Before starting any works on the building lot, the subsequent parts of the house are manufactured in a dry production hall. Many of them are brought to the construction site as finished elements to be installed immediately, which contributes to relatively short construction time of a wooden house.

the first day

After the previous construction of the so-called base wall (more >>>), the elements are brought by truck to the construction site.

the first week

The works in the first week include the assembly of external walls, the construction of scaffolding, roof scantling and rafters, the laying of vapour barrier film and safety patches, the construction of the chimney;

the second week

Then we proceed with the installation works in the wall and floor area as well as the façade works; the mineral wools insulation and the roof tiles are laid; the works also include the installation of windows and doors;

the third week

Utility connections are made in the house, such as the connection to the sewer system, the connection to the water supply, the installation of central heating system and electrical connections;

the fourth week

The finishing works inside the building: skimming ceilings and walls, laying the floors;
Moreover the finishing works outside the building are also conducted, such as painting and gutter installation;
